LED bulbs are extremely efficient and last much longer than traditional lighting (up to 50,000 hours).
Unlike other types of lighting, they are well tolerated by the eyes. Moreover, they do not emit heat or overheat, so there is no need for cooling fans, as used in conventional lighting.
What's more, LEDs are a greener form of lighting, because they use far less energy than, for example, halogen bulbs.

Modula our bookcase with LED lighting

Modula is the bookcase designed by our Research and Development team. It is available in wall-mounted and floor-to-ceiling versions [link], and is extremely versatile, both in the range of possible configurations, with single or multiple columns, and in use.

Both models have aluminium profiles, which can house the LED strips that will light the shelves. These profiles are recessed in the uprights and feature a semi-translucent cover that gives excellent light diffusion: the effect when the lights are turned on is truly intimate and pleasant.
