Modula is the bookcase with metal shelves designed and manufactured by Alba Components: a practical and versatile shelving system that's an evolution of the classic concept of a bookcase.
The Modula bookcase is available in 2 versions: wall-mounted or floor-to-ceiling. In both versions, the load-bearing structure consists of lightweight, sturdy aluminium uprights, available in black or white and 2 different sizes, 1 metre or 2 metres. The different lengths of the uprights, which can be combined as required, guarantee maximum freedom when placing the shelves.
The metal shelves are available on request and come in 2 sizes (36 cm and 79 cm) and 2 colours - black or white - for greater versatility in the set-up of Modula; each shelf can carry a weight of 60 kilos.
The metal shelves are secured by innovative supports that are distinctive features of this bookcase. The supports can be positioned anywhere on the uprights, giving complete freedom in arranging the shelves; our supports are also easy to install, move and remove, meaning that each shelf can be installed independently, and can be inclined at a choice of 3 different angles, 0, 45 or 90 degrees.
